ग्रुप स्टेज के 16 मुकाबले अमेरिका के 3 शहरों में खेले गए। इनमें 9 मैच चेज करने वाली और 3 मैच पहले बैटिंग करने वाली टीमों ने जीते। एक मैच टाई रहा, जबकि 3 मैच बारिश के कारण बेनतीजा रहे। एक भी बार 200 का स्कोर नहीं बना, लेकिन 12 बार टीमें 120 से कम रन ही बना सकीं। इनमें भी 2 बार स्कोर 100 से छोटा रहा। अमेरिका में लो-स्कोरिंग मुकाबले जरूर रहे, लेकिन ज्यादातर में कांटे की टक्कर देखने को मिली।
